INVITATION: THE 18^TH EDITION OF IFEX PHILIPPINES, 22-24 MAY 2025

The Embassy of the Philippines is extending an invitation to the 18^th edition of IFEX Philippines to be held on the 22^nd – 24^th May 2025 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Philippines. Please see attached invitation letter, IFEX Presentation and Program for more information.

KEY UPDATES FROM INSURANCE & BROKERAGE SECTOR MEETING 

The Insurance & Brokerage Sector held a productive meeting on 03 April 2025, the key agenda items focused on the:

1. Workman’s Compensation Act Amendment – Updates on FSRA’s review process and industry advocacy efforts.
2. Compulsory Third Party Insurance – Progress on legislative amendments and next steps for implementation. SADC Benchmarking: For commission sales, brokers are being made to pay 20% in the SADC region and in Eswatini it’s only 5% which remains far below the regional standard — a key advocacy focus

Members are urged to: 

• Submit sector-specific issues for future discussions. 
• Support advocacy efforts with data/feedback. 

Next Steps: BE Secretariat will escalate outcomes post-regulator engagement.
